Changes in economics and lifestyle may suggest to you that shared housing may be one consideration in reducing your cost of living. Whether you are a senior living on a fixed income or a younger person attempting to find affordable housing, some of the issues are the same. Sharing a home or apartment may be helpful. Finding a compatible person to share a household may be difficult based on your living preferences. While we may assume most people have similar living preferences as we do, that is frequently not the reality. The following questionnaire is provided as a PDF download to assist you in finding a good match for a housemate. It could also be a resource for those already committed in a relationship. Finding those areas to negotiate help reduce expectations and conflict.
